Welcome to Goldfinch Glass where you will find a collectible, colourful, coastal-inspired range of screen-printed, kiln-fired glass, designed and produced in beautiful Brighton.
We make coasters, glass pictures, dishes and window panels, frequently made to order in your choice of colour and design. Our glass is made by Suzanne O’Leary who draws on the city, sea and the South Downs for inspiration.
Learning her craft in a fisherman’s arch on Brighton Beach, for many years Suzanne made glass and hosted workshops in her shop Little Beach Boutique, in Brighton’s North Laine.
Now based out of her garden workshop, her range is exclusively available online and her popular small group workshops have returned from Autumn 2026.
Each piece is made to order, created out of layers of glass. Some items are screen-prints of Suzanne’s original illustrations, inspired by nursery rhymes, the Sussex coast, themes of wanderlust and exploration and her love of nature.
Other pieces are layered tiles, assembled from sheet, crushed or ‘confetti’ glass and metal inclusions such as copper. Each is kiln-fired for several hours, to form a tactile, individual piece, rich in colour and detail. Suzanne frames many of her pieces and writes expressions and poems by hand on the mount; these can also be personalised with your own names or words.
